Bio

Len P. van der Hof

Len P. van der Hof makes industrial hard techno and schranz. The tracks run at 170 to 195 BPM, with the kick and the rumble up front, breakdowns that hold the pressure back, and drops that land at full weight.

The catalogue is made of albums of seven tracks, and each album is built around a single scene. BLEAK VAULT is a store that stayed shut after the power dropped. GRIM SPLIT is a foundry pour that split and cooled where it fell. OVERRUN is a job that would not halt, and the heat it left in the frame. Four albums, PERFECT REST, UNWILLING TO RISE, GO ON STRAIGHT and THE READIEST WAY, take their titles from the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. There are thirteen albums so far, 91 tracks in all.

Every track has its own 4K motion-graphics video. The motion comes from an analysis of the track itself, its kicks, bars, breakdowns and drops, so the picture moves with the sound instead of running over it.

The music is produced with AI-assisted tools.

Albums are released on SoundCloud, with the videos following on YouTube, and released tracks come with a free WAV download.
